The “Family” in Family Camp includes you. When you come to SBC, you become a part of our family. Whether you’re married or single, young or old, a parent or childless . . . you belong here.

God moves at Family Camp. Lives are changed and people experience Him in new ways. Through our evening services, fun on the beach, fellowship with friends and even just quiet time to yourself, you might experience your Creator in away you haven’t before.

FAMILY CAMP FAQS
What is the itinerary for the week?

Family Camp will run from Friday, July 11 through Thursday, July 17. Details on speakers and events are listed above.

When and how do we sign up for the various activities and tournaments offered during the week?

You can sign up for activities and tournaments when you arrive at Family Camp. 

What is the menu for the week?

We have a new Food Services Director at SBC, and we are excited to offer you a week of delicious food with a variety of choices. Menus will be made available soon.

What do I need for checking in and out?

Please stop at the Welcome Center when you check in as our Guest Services team will be able to assist you at your arrival. The only thing you need to bring along is yourself and your belongings for the week! 

What will I receive at check in?

At check in, you will receive a full Family Camp guide with all details for the week included as well as a Family Camp bracelet to remember your special week at SBC. 

What hours will the trading post and snack bar be open thru the week?

We are excited to announce additional options and consistent store hours during Family Camp week. The Trading Post will be open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM. The snack bar will be open daily from 1 PM to 4 PM. 

What is the availability and camper cabin package cost?

Availability and pricing can be found online by visiting www.somersetbeach.org/family-camp. For cabin rentals, please contact our Guest Services team for rates and availability at (517) 688-3783.

When can I stop by the Welcome Center?

The Welcome Center is your Guest Services hub for the week! Hours of operation during Family Camp will be from 8 AM to 8 PM. Any questions or concerns, please stop in the Welcome Center and visit with Kurt, Sophie, and Izzy! 

When are the children's programs?

K-5th Grade

  • The children K-5th grade will have dedicated programming Monday - Thursday at 10:00 AM in the White Field House. Families can expect age appropriate bible teaching, games, songs and much more.
  • In the evenings, we encourage families to gather together under the Big Tent. Children may participate in the worship service and will be dismissed during the sermon. The counseling staff will lead the children in interactive games, outdoor activities and much more. Children will return to their families, under the Big Tent, for the concert following the sermon.

Nursery

  • During the evening services nursery is provided, up to age 4, near the Tot Lot.
Is there WIFI at Family Camp?

We get it—finding that work/life balance is tough, and not every job allows for a full week away. But guess what? We still want you at Family Camp—even if you need to sending a few emails here and there. This year, we’re offering a dedicated space, in the Field House Annex, with internet access. Check in with work when needed and still make the most of camp with your family.
