Never a Dull Moment
One of the most frequent questions we get asked as a staff during this time of year is, “Are things starting to wind down?”
We can’t help but smile when we’re asked, because though our busiest time of year is the summer, things never really wind down around here. Lodges are full most weekends and our food service staff is feeding guests regularly throughout the fall, winter and spring.
This past weekend, we had more than 40 volunteers working at our wood cutter’s work weekend, 75 teens from a youth group at a retreat in the lodges, 15 youth from a different group retreating in our cabins and many families and individuals staying in our camping areas. Take a look at just a few of the pictures from the weekend here. See some of Chuck Smith’s pictures of the woodcutter’s work crew here.
Today, we’re feeding more than 80 people at an event in the Field House and on Thursday a group of women will arrive for a weekend of scrapbooking in the lodges and enjoying meals prepared by our staff.
Take a look at our calendar to see if there are any activities in which you’d like to participate. Or maybe you’re interested in scheduling a retreat of your own.
There’s never a dull moment at SBC!
