Bishop David Roller is our family camp speaker for the opening Saturday night through Thursday evening.  He will also lead the Monday through Friday morning adult Bible study.  Roger Allen from the East Michigan Conference will lead worship and music the opening weekend through Thursday night.

Supt. Ramundo will be speaking on Friday night and then missionary Dustin Weber will preach the closing services on Saturday night and Sunday morning.  Dustin will be commissioned as a missionary during the Saturday night service before he speaks.

On Friday night, the children will preform at the start of the service.

MIssionaries
Fred and Barb Adams will join us July 12-14, 2009.

Fred and Barbara Adams were appointed as Free Methodist missionaries to the Philippines in 1981. Fred is senior pastor of Oceans of Life Ministries (OLM) and serves on the board of Light and Life Development Foundation, Inc., a relief and development arm of the FMC. He also works with Elim Farm’s Agricultural and Bible Training School, where tent-making pastors receive instruction for planting rural churches.

Barb, associate pastor at OLM, is a board member and office manager of the Light and Life Development Foundation. She coordinates International Child Care Ministries (ICCM) for the Southern Mindanao Annual Conference and oversees two ICCM street ministries and two tribal hostels. She is the liaison for ICCM Philippines to the home office.

Patrick and April Barrett will be with us on July 14 & 15

Patrick and April Barrett have served in Costa Rica since May 2006 and are now in the U.S. for a time of home assignment.  While in Costa Rica they focused on helping the FM churches develop healthy leadership and effective ministries. Patrick, as director, guided the FM seminary in being a beneficial training resource for pastoral and lay leaders. April taught in the seminary and assisted administratively. She worked to strengthen Sunday school programs in the churches by providing training for the directors and coordinating regular district-wide teacher workshops. Both Patrick and April were involved in a newly-formed church planting support committee to help reach the district’s goal of one new church per year.

Patrick and April have two daughters: Rachel (born 1992) and Lydia (born 1994).
